By connecting with local mobile payment systems via SMS, users are able to send and receive mobile payments from the FrontlineSMS platform, manage transaction data for accounting purposes, and bring the use of mobile payments into their work. Mobile payments can enable efficiency, expansion, and innovation in the delivery of critical products and services to the base of the pyramid, in financial services, health, agriculture and more.

FrontlineSMS:Legal increases the reach, transparency, and efficiency of legal systems in underserved areas. FrontlineSMS:Legal combines case management, online forms, and last-mile communication to improve dispute resolution service in underserved communities.

FrontlineSMS:Learn \?/

FrontlineSMS:Learn leverages ubiquitous mobile technology—SMS or text messaging—to support and strengthen education and training initiatives and human capacity development, and to make learning opportunities available anytime and anywhere. Using the application, knowledge and higher-order reasoning and decision-making skills can be developed, reinforced and assessed. This leads to improved transfer of learning, increased knowledge retention, long-term changes in behavior and, ultimately, improvements in service delivery.

FrontlineSMS:Radio is a tailored version of the core software optimised for radio DJs. Radio represents the dominant media source for many people worldwide and it represents a vital outreach particularly for rural communities; however this type of communication has been mostly one way. By capturing, organizing and smartly representing incoming data from listeners—live—FrontlineSMS:Radio is fostering two-way dialogue in a way that is immediate and relevant.

Medic Mobile Our sector specific projects provide expertise, advocacy and tailored software development to enable effective use of mobile in their specialist areas. Medic Mobile, formerly FrontlineSMS:Medic, was the first of these projects and was so successful that it spun out into its own organization to work on a range of mobile tools for health, including FrontlineSMS. In the future, FrontlineSMS will build an ecosystem of technical expertise in varied sectors that will remain in-house—a cohesive product set that will contribute to our thought-leadership in different areas of mobile for social change.
