FrontlineSMS:Sister organisations
FrontlineSMS provides the foundation for a growing family of initiatives. Our sister organisations are adapting and extending our SMS communications platform for use in specific fields such as health, finance, education, law and media. Their activities further the FrontlineSMS mission of empowering people to create social change through mobile technology.
FrontlineSMS:Medic’s mission is to help health workers communicate, coordinate patient care, and provide diagnostics using low-cost mobile technology. Mobile telephony is the broadest-reaching digital communication technology in the world, and it has untapped potential to facilitate healthcare over distance.
FrontlineSMS:Credit aims to make every formal financial service available to the entrepreneurial poor in 160 characters or less. By meshing the functionality of FrontlineSMS with local mobile payment systems, FrontlineSMS:Credit’s tools empower implementing institutions to provide a full range of customizable services, from savings and credit to insurance and payroll.
