Our development team is constantly working on adding new features and improvements to the software. On this page you can find a summary of the most exciting things that are coming to FrontlineSMS Version 2 in the near future.
Integration
Integration with a wider range of web SMS services including Vumi and Nexmo – we plan to continually expand the range of options for SMS transport built into FrontlineSMS. This work will be ongoing.
Contact Sub Groups
This is a high-priority feature for us, based on user feedback. It should be easy for users to move groups imported from version 1 into version 2 before this feature is implemented to move sub-groups back into place after upgrading.

FrontlineForms and structured data collection
We are currently fundraising to build a new and improved Forms solution for FrontlineSMS Version 2. We have listened to the feedback we received from you, the FrontlineSMS community, and have taken it on board as we develop the next iteration of FrontlineForms! Currently, we envision adding a Forms template builder similar to the current one, and a new interface for manipulating incoming Forms data which will ultimately be able to handle incoming information from a growing range of mobile data collection platforms.
