Keywords are a powerful feature in FrontlineSMS that allow you to automatically trigger actions within FrontlineSMS.

You can use keywords to auto-reply and auto-forward text messages, join and leave groups, e-mail a text message or to trigger external commands.

The keyword you set up has to appear at the start of all incoming SMS before they can be picked up, and trigger a resulting action in FrontlineSMS. For example, if VOTE is the keyword set up as a survey in FrontlineSMS, users need to text in “VOTE” followed by their vote, and any further information.

There is no limit to the number of keywords you use. Up to 100 keywords are viewed on a single page, so it may be necessary to switch between pages to see all the keywords you use.
