One of our first major users was ReclaimNaija, a nation-wide group of grassroots in Nigeria. Their mission was simple - monitor the election. Their project, however, was a lot harder: they had to build a national network of grassroots organizations and agencies, in using a common system and approach to report on the elections as they happened. ReclaimNaija documents how citizens are experiencing the elections by using FrontlineSMS to receive and send text message reports, and Ushahidi to visually map the election reports received.

ReclaimNaija was one of our first and most inspirational Frontline users - and they taught us how to build tools for campaigns. The Community Life Project, one of the promoters of ReclaimNaija, used Frontline to build a central data architecture, used and supported by citizens and organizations all over the country -  making their campaign impossible to ignore.
